Project acronym: CO2Shoe

Project title: Footwear carbon footprint

 Duration: 01/10/2013 – 30/09/2017 (48 months)

Objective: The main objective of the project is to develop a carbon footprint calculation tool for the footwear sector, which allows the measurement of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by each pair of shoes. The project involves four EU member states: Spain, Italy, Portugal and Poland, and will subsequently extend to the rest of the European area. The aim at the end of the project is to provide footwear companies with the use of this tool, which will allow them to identify the most needed aspects for lowering their GHG emissions. This project is partially funded by the European Union through Life+ Progamme " LIFE12 ENV/ES/000315".
